JOY
Finding Joy
This year at the start of the Christmas season my family and I decided to make
the season JOYful. Last year a friend shared with us the true meaning
of JOY -
It is putting Jesus 1st, Others 2nd, and Yourself last.
Now I know this is hard and we shouldn't always put ourselves last.
This was just a nice reminder to not think about ourselves this Christmas
but to try and make others happy.
(we are having fun planning Secret Santa stuff)
I purchased three 5x7 frames
Yes, that says $1.50 - I went to the dollar store!
I picked out 3 different papers that I thought worked well together and cut them to my frame size.
These are from the Frosted paper pack from Close To My Heart.
I used my Cricut to cut out the J O Y.
I attached them to the background paper.
I put the letters in the frame and surrounded it with tiny plastic glittery snow flakes
and tinsel.
Now my family is reminded of the
The Real Reason for The Season!
*The approximate cost of this total project was $7.50 but it looks like I spent much more!
Wishing you a JOYful Christmas season!

Christmas Cards
Christmas is coming and I always love to make my own Christmas cards.
This year is no different. I used Close To My Heart products and
the design came from the Frosted Cardmaking Kit.
This design is so simple, that it could be used to make
any type of card.
I cut red and green cardstock strips along with a b/t paper strip...
These are approx. 4" long and 1.5" wide.
I glued the strips on a standard size CTMH card base.
This strip and sentiment I attached together after stamping. I wanted this to be more dynamic so I used 3D foam. This also allowed room for the twine to be wrapped around the stamped strip.
The warm wishes sentiment is stamped in Ruby. The trees are done in Cocoa (both first generation and second generation) The star snow flake in the corner is stamped in second generation Twilight ink. I attached the sentiment and then embellished with one sparkle in the star flake and three sparkles in descending size to create a more polished look.
Hope you like this! It was fun and easy to make - especially when it all comes in the
Frosted Cardmaking Kit!
Try this patter for a Thank You card or for a Thinking of You card. Cute pattern I will be using this for years to come.
